Crystal (software)

CRYSTAL is a quantum chemistry ab initio program, designed primarily for calculations on crystals (3 dimensions), slabs (2 dimensions) and polymers (1 dimension) using translational symmetry, but it can also be used for single molecules. It is written by V.R. Saunders, R. Dovesi, C. Roetti, R. Orlando, C.M. Zicovich-Wilson, N.M. Harrison, K. Doll, B. Civalleri, I.J. Bush, Ph. D’Arco, and M. Llunell from Theoretical Chemistry Group at the University of Torino and the Computational Materials Science Group at the Daresbury Laboratory near Warrington in Cheshire, England. The current version is CRYSTAL14, released in June 2014. Earlier versions were CRYSTAL88, CRYSTAL92, CRYSTAL95, CRYSTAL98, CRYSTAL03, CRYSTAL06, and CRYSTAL09.

Protagonists

Red

Red (レッド, Reddo) is a Trainer who starts off in Pallet Town as an aspiring trainer with a Poliwhirl, believing himself to be superior to his peers. He is sent on a journey to better himself as a trainer and a person, displaying amazing feats of courage and a strong sense of justice. He starts his Pokémon journey with a Bulbasaur he received from Professor Oak, which evolved into Ivysaur and later Venusaur. He is rivals with Professor Oak's grandson, Blue.

In the first arc, Red suffered his first overwhelming defeat when he failed to capture the mysterious Mew, leading him to Professor Oak for advice on becoming a better Pokémon trainer. This led him to a long journey all across Kanto, crossing paths with Blue and Green along the way. During his journey, he became entangled in many plots by the nefarious Team Rocket, effectively foiling them each time. Together with Blue and Green, Red ultimately defeated Team Rocket when they tried to take control of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres. He later defeated the Team Rocket leader Giovanni in a one-on-one Pokémon battle and captured Team Rocket's ultimate weapon, the genetically created Pokémon Mewtwo. Finally, Red participated in the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League Tournament, defeating his rival Blue in the final match and becoming the Pokémon Champion.

Crystal, Minnesota

Crystal is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 22,151 at the 2010 census.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.88 square miles (15.23 km²), of which 5.78 square miles (14.97 km²) is land and 0.10 square miles (0.26 km²) is water.

Minnesota State Highway 100 and County Road 81 are two of the main routes in the city. Other routes include Douglas Drive North, 36th Avenue North, 42nd Avenue North, and Bass Lake Road.

Crystal Airport, a small general aviation field, is located within the city limits.

The city is bordered on the north by the city of Brooklyn Park, on the northeast by Brooklyn Center, on the east by Robbinsdale, on the south by Golden Valley, and on the west by New Hope.

Crystal has been awarded the "Minnesota Star City" designation for economic development.

Demographics

2010 census

As of the census of 2010, there were 22,151 people, 9,183 households, and 5,640 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,832.4 inhabitants per square mile (1,479.7/km²). There were 9,634 housing units at an average density of 1,666.8 per square mile (643.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 78.1% White, 10.5% African American, 0.7% Native American, 3.9% Asian, 3.0% from other races, and 3.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.5% of the population.

Diamond (4Minute album)

Diamond is the first Japanese album by the South Korean girl group 4Minute. It was released in Japan on December 15, 2010. It was released in two editions, regular CD only, and limited CD+DVD. The limited edition includes a 52-page photobook that highlights some of their single releases and Japanese debuts. The album sold 7,060 copies in Japan, peaking at the #27 spot in the Oricon weekly charts. The Korean edition of the album was released in January 25, 2011, but doesn't includes the Korean songs from their debut EP "For Muzik".

Singles

The first single from the album (and also their Japanese debut single) is a Japanese version of the song "Muzik". It was released on May 5, 2010 and included Japanese versions of the Korean hits "Muzik" and "Hot Issue", as well as the Korean version of "Muzik". It ranked at number 12 in Oricon's Daily Singles chart., 21 in the weekly chart,, and sold 8,234 copies. The music video for the song shows the members in a blue room with flashing lights, along with scenes filmed in a red room. It also takes one of the Korean scenes where the members are together wearing the latex leggings.

Wellington United AFC is an association football club in Wellington, New Zealand competing in the Capital Premier League.

History

Wellington Diamond United

Wellington Diamond United was the result of the merger of Diamond and Zealandia/Wellington United in 1968.

Diamond was founded as a junior football club in 1893 by members of the Star Rugby Club, who wished to play football. It became a senior team in 1895.

Zealandia was founded in 1954 by Dutch immigrants, changing its name to Wellington United in 1964.

In 1968 the club played in the Central Region's Division One, finishing fourth out ten. The club made it to the National League for the 1973 season but at the end of the following season they found themselves back in Division One.

Wellington Diamond United won the National League in 1976, 1981 and 1985.

Hungaria and Wellington City

Hungaria was formed in 1962 by Hungarian immigrants. The club played in the Central Region league before being invited to join the first New Zealand National Soccer League in 1970. The team finished seventh out of eight that season, winning just three games. It was the club's only season in the National League as they forfeited their place to form a composite entry with Miramar Rangers, to be known as Wellington City, for the 1971 and 1972 seasons. Miramar withdrew after the 1971 season.

Diamond (ship)

The Diamond was a three-masted square rigger, built in New York in 1823. She was one of the first ships to operate a regular service for passenger and cargo between Britain and the United States. She sank en route to Liverpool from New York on 2 January 1825 in Cardigan Bay. The alleged wreck site was identified in 2000 and was designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 on 1 April 2002, the first such designation to be made by the National Assembly for Wales. However, the identification has since been called into question.

Construction and sailing life

When the Diamond was built in 1823, shipbuilding was at a time of rapid technological change. New materials and shipbuilding techniques were being used and ships of this period show many variations. The Diamond has been claimed (but without evidence) to have been the oldest known example of a composite American hull, where a timber frame and plank construction is reinforced with iron frames. The hull was also sheathed in copper, to protect the timber planking from attack by marine organisms and reduce drag. This has proved to be totally false and without foundation. She is in fact a standard built vessel of the age constructed from white oak and locust wood sheathed in normal copper sheets fastened with copper tacks.

Mine (Taproot song)

"Mine" is the second and final single from Taproot's second studio album Welcome. Along with "Poem", the song is one of the band's most successful singles. A music video was released for the song and was directed by System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian.
